Young Volunteers
As the crisis in Ukraine continues, Mission Possible is carrying out its largest single operation in 45 years of work in Eastern Europe. At our Odesa activity center, food supplies are collected, sorted, and packaged by dozens of hardworking volunteers.
Our team has noticed the willingness of young people to help those in need. They volunteer regularly, work cheerfully, sing, cook themselves a meal, play basketball, and then, refreshed, get back to work again.
We have partnered with local churches in the war zones to deliver packages of aid to families and elderly people who have no other source of support. At this point, nearly 6,000 homes have been given boxes of food, and the same amount is ready to be distributed. The need for help has increased as families have come to the end of their stored food rations and savings and many have lost their jobs.
While distributing food we meet many people. We talk to them, encourage them, and share the gospel. Each box includes a Bible and Christian literature.
May God help those suffering, and may the war end soon.
Many people have asked about our work in Russia. Everything – shelter homes, family ministry, and outreach programs continue.
