"I Can Read, Would You Like to Hear?"
Education makes a significant difference in the lives of children; that's why we want our work to support literacy and remove barriers that prevent children from attending school.
Imagine a child eager to learn but held back because they lack the basic supplies or suitable clothing. You can help change that.
A donation of just $20 can provide a child with essential school supplies, opening the door to knowledge, growth, and opportunity.
But our impact goes beyond school supplies. Literacy classes in the villages have helped hundreds of children to learn to read and write.
This summer, our Youth Academy students distributed baby boxes that contain a children's Bible. One young girl who attends our literacy classes noticed the Bible and began to read to Irina, our team member.
–" And God gave them a wonderful place to live," she read smoothly from the creation story.
– Well read! Every night when your family is at home together, you can read a passage from this Bible aloud." Irina recommended.
Literacy classes will continue to be held in Roma villages this fall.
