The Miracle of Christmas – God Came to Dwell with Us!

Other Languages:

I have always believed in God, but throughout my youth I felt that He was distant; somewhere far away in heaven watching over me and my life.

When our team in Yekaterinburg visited a hospice last Christmas (you can read about here), one of the residents—deeply touched by the visit—exclaimed: “Thank you for bringing a piece of God here! We all need Him!” Indeed, we truly do.

In Jesus, God Himself came to us, and God’s love became visible and real:

“He was in the form of God, but He did not consider equality with God something to cling to. Instead, He emptied Himself, taking the form of a servant and becoming like a human being. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to death—even death on a cross.” (Philippians 2:6–8)

Jesus came to me as well. He is no longer God who is “somewhere out there,” but God who is here now.

When the risen Jesus lives in our hearts, He leads us to love and serve people in concrete ways and to tell them of Him. Our mission is to share His love and tell what He has done!

At Christmas, we celebrate how God came near to us and is still with us. May you experience the presence of Jesus in your Christmas, and may He bless your 2026!
