The Camps Brought the Children Together Again

This year we were able to organize children’s and youth camps in an almost normal manner. Approximately 1,000 children participate in MP’s children and youth camps each year.

The children had been alienated not only from their friends but also from the church, due to more than a year of gathering restrictions. Communication had taken place via telephone or computer.

Lack of in-person contact reflected in their behavior, so they had to learn to cooperate in a group setting again. But finally, all were together!

This year’s children’s camp in Albania was organized later than usual so that on the last day, September 19, they could celebrate the launching of MP Albania exactly three decades later!

“I’ll become a preacher!”

MP Bible Club in his village. (Our team holds such clubs in several Ukrainian villages.) At the beginning of the summer, however, he was quiet and withdrawn.

Something tragic had happened. Arthur has lived with his grandparents since he was very young. Due to the pandemic, the family’s business collapsed. In despair, his grandfather ended his life.

The grandmother became deeply depressed. We invited her to accompany Arthur to our children’s camp. As we talked and prayed with her, she began to see hope.

God healed her broken heart and strengthened young Arthur’s faith. After seeing the change in his grandmother, Arthur proclaimed that he wants to be a gospel preacher when he grows up.

In the picture, Arthur, with help from a teacher, presents a Bible story.
