Prayer – Our Bridge between Heaven and Earth

Intercessors gathered in Bulgaria for a prayer seminar
Prayer - specifically intercessory prayer - was the theme of an event organized by Mission Possible’s Bulgarian team in November at our activity center in Dobromirka. It brought together believers from all over the country who see prayer as their ministry.
The event was part of our training series “Called to Serve.” During the days of fellowship the participants established connections and friendships, heard inspiring teaching, and prayed together.
Sometimes our prayers contain no petitions at all but are merely worship and praise for Him. Sometimes we pour out our pains and needs to Him. Sometimes we fight for others through intercessory prayer.
The speakers encouraged all to persevere in intercession.
When we pray for others, we bring their needs before our Heavenly Father.
We support their faith and stand with them in the spiritual battle.
When we pray for other believers, our prayer is an expression of love in the body of Christ.
There is great power in prayer! And when the whole church prays, miracles happen.
Every prayer is important, whether long or short and no matter where they are uttered. The most important thing before God is the attitude of our hearts. May we pray out of love for Him and love for others.
Voices from the event.
“When I arrived here, I was downcast. I had no clarity about my mission. Here, the Lord showed me that I still had much to do as a prayer warrior, and He removed my sense of unworthiness. I gained a new vision and understanding of prayer ministry in the church. Now I have new strength and desire to pray and read the Word.”- Borislava, 38
“It became clear to me here how to pray systematically for certain people, and how to do that not based on my feelings, but by seeking God’s guidance.” - Mirolyuba, 42

How you can build your prayer life:
- Consider who or what you would like to pray for regularly.
- Set aside a time for intercessory prayer, preferably the same time each day.
- Keep a prayer journal with a list of people, churches, ministries, and their needs.
- Participate in church prayer meetings and events.
