As I write this, the restrictions due to the coronavirus pandemic are gradually being lifted. In Bulgaria, the people in the villages are returning to the fields to work. We are coming out of the dark tunnel.

With joint efforts, we were able to help the most vulnerable people in our territories go through the most difficult period of this time. Many thanks to all of you!

For our teams, this has been a time of very active work.

We got to meet hundreds of families and isolated people, bring them vital help, and encourage them.

A lot of good took place
in the midst of the distress,
health concerns,
and economic devastation.

Our team members avoided the virus and stayed healthy – except Andrey, leader of the Yekaterinburg ministry.

He was seriously ill in April for two weeks and was kept in an isolation room in the hospital. He was finally released to go home, now immune to the coronavirus. Since returning from the hospital, he has donated a large amount of blood that has been used to treat patients in critical condition.

With the advantage of immunity, Andrey immediately began to work and bring relief supplies and medicines to needy families and individuals.

In this newsletter, Andrey describes his experience and life at the shelter homes during quarantine.

This has been an exceptionally challenging time
for the staff of our shelter homes,
but they have persevered and made it!
