Bringing the Gospel and Joy to Hospice Patient
The team from the Yekaterinburg shelter home shares about its recent visit to a hospice facility where they often go to spend time with the patients:
“The patients tell us that our coming is like a breath of fresh air for them. We handed out goody bags on our most recent visit and had two violinists with us. One of the musicians was nine-year-old Nastya, who wanted to bring joy to people with her talent!
“We sang, talked, and prayed. These people are on the verge of death, but they sang with us! It is so wonderful to see their smiles. Most importantly, God touched their hearts, and they accepted Christ as their Savior!
“Some of the patients we saw last time have passed away. One lady told us her roommate had been waiting for us to come back. We had prayed with her on our previous visit. Just the day before we returned, she went to be with the Lord, but she had confidently proclaimed, ‘I am leaving with Jesus!’”
