A New Series: Meet Our Field Workers
Irena Became Free from Addiction and Now Helps Hundreds of Others
I am Irena, a 39 year-old single mother. My son Yevgeny is 16 years old.
When he was very young I was addicted to drugs, and because of that, he had to live at a shelter without me. I later checked in to MP’s rehabilitation center in Asbest. Yevgeny was permitted to be with me so we could rebuild our relationship.
While at the center I encountered God and His love, and I became free from drugs.
I had previously worked as a salesperson, which I liked. I did well at the job, selling items that had been stagnate on the shelves for a while.
Since 2012 I have been on staff here at the rehabilitation center, and my job experience has been helpful. Some of my tasks include raising funds and aid for the center and for families in crisis.
Talking with people comes naturally to me.
When I visit a company to inquire about donations, I first tell my own story. I am a living testimony of what God has done through Mission Possible.
And two years ago I graduated as a social worker.
I am so grateful to you who support Mission Possible’s work. Thank you for your help and love towards families who are in critical situations. Through your faithfulness, donations, and prayers, many families and children have been saved and their future has been forever changed!
