How the whole future of a newborn has changed
Galya is a good and caring mother of three. But at the age of 40 she was in the maternity hospital for the fourth time – in distress. In a crib lay a prematurely born “surprise” baby girl, and Galya had decided to give up this child.
“This is not going to work.
It’s impossible for me to take care of this child, too.
I am not able to do this!
My husband is disabled. I’m not young anymore…”
I sat in the hospital room talking with Galya. Her despair began to recede, and with it the idea of abandoning the baby. It was replaced by concern for the future of this tiny person. The frail infant melted her mother’s heart.
The baby girl began to grow stronger and gain more weight. The day came that I could fill a Baby Box with lovely little clothes, place a children’s Bible and a New Testament on top, and hand it over to Galya!
When I took Galya and her baby home, the older siblings greeted their tiny sister gently and stroked her carefully. “The child can now grow with her own family.
I’ve become friends with Galya and we will keep in touch.”
