What Will I Be When I Grow Up

Diana, a hairdressing graduate, is caring for her baby and fulfilling her professional dream.Ever since she was a little girl whose mother combed her long hair and styled it beautifully, Diana has had a dream: to work as a hairdresser and run her own beauty salon.
Diana’s parents actually encouraged her to attend school. In Bulgarian Roma communities, this is very rare; many children do not have access to education. As adults, they find it very difficult to gain employment and often become dependent on social allowances.
After completing school, Diana got a job waiting tables in a restaurant, where she met her future husband. They started a life together.
At church, Diana heard about Mission Possible’s hairdressing course. She immediately registered.

“I was expecting my first child, but I didn’t want to miss the opportunity God had given me.”Diana with diploma

Diana completed the course just before the baby was born. Two weeks later we brought her a diploma and a BabyBox for her little one. It was a joyful moment!

We also gave Diana a gospel bracelet and showed how the pendants on it tell the gospel story. Her eyes began to sparkle. “I will use this to share
Jesus with my child and my clients.”

Diana and IrinaDiana’s dream of running her own beauty salon could very well come true. In her community, this young mother is a true example of the value of education for a brighter future and of God’s amazing provision.
