A Message from a Shelter Home
The children we help have not had normal childhoods and homes. They have lived on the streets in the midst of misery, drugs, and violence. But we have seen how these children, when given an opportunity, have grown to become good Christian parents and functioning members of society.
A child naturally recognizes what is right.
I want to share with you a message and a picture I received from the director of one of our shelter homes:
Two-and-a-half weeks ago the police brought this girl to our shelter. Her name is Laura. The next day she asked us to pray that her mom would return home and stop drinking. Four days later, on a Saturday, her mother did return.
That Sunday Laura invited her mom and dad to our church. They came, heard Laura recite Easter poems, and at the end of the service they submitted their lives to Jesus!
They have since become involved with one of the church’s home groups. Praise the Lord!
We want to give more children a chance!
Thank you for your involvement!
I wish you a great summer!
